shares of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Shares soared 13% on Thursday after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter profits and raised its full-year outlook.

Analysts at LSEG expected the cruise line’s third-quarter revenue to be $2.95 billion, beating Wall Street’s estimate of $2.88 billion.

Net income for the period was $491 million, or $1.07 per share.

Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were $937 million, beating Norwegian’s previous guidance of $874 million. LSEG said adjusted EPS was $1.12, beating previous expectations of 90 cents and beating analysts’ expectations of 94 cents.

Norwegian also raised its full-year outlook, citing better-than-expected third-quarter results. The company currently expects adjusted EBITDA of $2.55 billion and adjusted EPS of approximately $1.70 in 2026.

The report said the company’s bookings had “moderately improved” since the previous report but remained below optimal range.

Norwegian said it will focus on new marketing strategies, including launching a new marketing platform in January. The company also said it expects enhancements, such as the construction of a new waterpark on the private island of Great Stirrup Cay, to support growing demand.

Norwegian also announced Thursday that Chief Financial Officer Mark Kempa is retiring after more than 25 years with the company. Megan Montana, currently chief strategy officer, will take over the role starting January 1.
